How exactly is saluting different from kneeling & praying? BAN EXCESSIVE PRAYING IN COLLEGE SPORTS!

Not sure why need the word "excessive" in the "excessive celebration" rule. How about "any celebration"?

Bummer: Coachella discontinues RV camping for 2011 festival. Seriously, really disappointing. http://www.coachella.com/layaway_camping.html

@bencarmean Neither of which (USB3/eSATA) my iMac natively support anyway. I wouldn't pay much more than $500 for the Drobo S.

@bencarmean I wonder whether my Drobo will support > 2 TB drives eventually. Either way, it's USB3/eSATA that makes the S attractive to me.

@bencarmean I can't imagine needing 5 bays under normal conditions. I'm approaching ~400 ripped DVDs and still have gobs of space.

Liked this quote from the movie King of California: "We're still in the middle of nowhere; there's just a lot more people in it now."

@zanshin RipIt. Nothing but love for that app. Does one thing very very well. http://thelittleappfactory.com/ripit/

@zanshin In addition to the bit-for-bit copies, I allocate space for iTunes-encoded .m4v versions of each, which are typically ~750 MB each.

@zanshin That said, many DVDs, especially older ones w/o loads of special features, are far smaller. But 390 is a significant sample size.

@ 3:30 p.m.

@zanshin I'm up to 390 DVDs with an average size of 7.36 GB. 300 DVDs would probably just barely outstrip a 2 TB drive.

@bencarmean Now that I've looked at current prices, I'm not sure I could justify the $300+ premium for the Drobo S. Yikes.

@bencarmean Although that 5-bay'er looks HUGE!

@bencarmean I've got the original, 4-bay, Drobo and am perfectly happy with it. I'd go for the 5-bay Drobo S if I were doing it today. USB3!

This will be my 7th WD Caviar Green drive in 3 yrs (& 3rd this month) with zero problems. That you can get a 2 TB drive for $79 is amazing.

To be fair, 8 TB in the Drobo is only 5.5 TB of storage & the rest is for redundant SuperDuper clones. But cripes, that's a lot of space.

Ordering my 13th terabyte of storage. Pretty sure I've taken this DVD-ripping project too far.

@derekstegelman I haven't had that one; I'll give it a try as soon as my beer budget allows it. This one required a bit of splurging.

@joshink Oh yeah? IPAs are one of only a few kinds of beer that I actually enjoy. Try GDBC's Titan if you can find it. It's delish.

Great Divide's Titan IPA blew my mind, so tonight we're indulging in their 16th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA! http://yfrog.com/h64locj
