The new The Killers album is fantastic! Surprised that this is my favorite album from the past 2 weeks, even with new Mumford, DMB & BF5.

Youth hostels: where you can find an elderly Asian woman having cereal & a beer in the guest kitchen at 3:30 in the morning. Love it.
Anyone know where I can watch a replay of the K-State/Oklahoma game online? Desperate.

Saw a Mercedes driving down the busy shopping street in Reykjavik today blasting a polka version of "She'll Be Coming Around The Mountain."

That kind of thing never happens when you have a rowdy four-year-old. We're usually unwelcome after a half hour nearly everywhere we go.

The hike is the Laugavegur, the most challenging thing I've done, in the most beautiful place I've been. We did the 4 day hike in 3 days!
Just finished a 4-day hike thru the Icelandic wilderness. Now on WiFi: Book tonight's hostel. Find nearest Taco Bell. Read @daringfireball.

Anybody have a good backcountry recipe to share? We'll have a 2-quart pot & that's it.
We leave on Sept. 9th so that leaves just a few days to master our new tent (GoLite Shangri-La 2) & shave every spare ounce from our packs.
Where do those who live in an Airstream stay on vacation? In a tent, of course. Our next adventure: two weeks of backpacking around Iceland!
